Situated inland from the coast and only a 20 minute drive from Noosa, Eumundi is one of the oldest established townships on the Sunshine Coast.

It began as a timber and dairy town in the 1890's and many of the original buildings remain, including the bank building, the Eumundi museum and the old bakery.

The arrival of the railway in 1891 established Eumundi as an important trading post and the building of two butter factories within the town ensured its place as a prosperous dairy community.

This trading history has remained to the present day, the famous Eumundi markets being a mecca for those seeking vibrant, alternative and organic goods. Each Wednesday and Saturday, thousands of visitors enjoy the festive atmosphere and the local produce and goods on display.

Eumundi offers an intesting mix of both the old and the new and has numerous art galleries, shops and restaurants, renowned for quality and variety. A wonderful way to spend the day.
